Meet our clare natives, level 6 students who have been on the course for the past 2 years and have been hugely involved in organising this exhibition.
Andrea discovered her creative side last year during QQI level 5 and loves exploring colours and shapes. Sculpturing and working with clay is her current favourite. She also really enjoys the social aspect of the course and has gained many new friendships.

Mairéad came to live in Inagh, Co. Clare, 55 years ago from Ballybunion, Co. Kerry. A photograph she discovered last summer of the thatched house she was born in evoked so many childhood memories that it and other old houses and artefacts became the theme for QQI level 6.

Barbara Hanly
l completed a BA Hons in Jewellery & Metalwork in 2003 with the University of Wales and have since longed to return to my creative roots. I have thoroughly the QQI level 5 course and look forward to learning lots more especially in ceramics which is my first love. My project focuses on light, layers and textures found in vegetables and flowers. I decided to study red onions and cabbage in particular due to their unique and interesting shapes, textures, and colours.
